Our Story
Yoga On The Brazos has been quite a journey for me.

I have been practicing yoga for over 25 years…when I was pregnant with my first child. I was a big fitness person but felt like I needed “something” more while pregnant. Yoga provided just that. And it has become a huge part of my life since then.

Years later I experienced a tragedy. As part of my recovery I started taking Sylvia’s Kundalini classes. These classes were just what I needed at that time in my life. This is what brought me to Yoga On The Brazos. From then on, I fell in love with this precious gem of a studio.

This little house of YOTB is perfect with its ambiance and peacefulness. I would never go to a big gym again. This is my NEW YOGA HOME. And I hope it will be yours too!

Yoga Heals! Yoga on the Brazos is honored to continue hosting yoga and meditation classes for an amazing group of domestic abuse survivors who are committed to self-care. “I Am My Sister’s Keeper” members attend weekly classes offered by YotB staff and volunteers, who focus on the healing and restorative benefits of yoga. These “peaceful warriors” inspire us to be our most compassionate and strong selves as we continue to learn and grow as a community of caring healers.
